Adware - These are sometimes in the form of pop ups that displays advertisements on your computer with or without your consent.They are not much of a threat, but its quite annoying to have random pop-ups, right?

Confiker might spread through file sharing and via removable drives, such as USB drives (also known as thumb drives). The worm adds a file to the removable drive so that when the drive is used, the AutoPlay dialog box will show one additional option.The Conficker worm can also disable important services on your computer such as task manager. Virus - is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer without the permission or knowledge of the owner. Viruses can have nasty effects like erasing precious data from your computer.Viruses can damage or erase files,It can slow computer performance, it can display unwanted messages,and it can take control of your computer.
Trojan - is a non-replicating computer program which the user allows to run thinking it is beneficial when it fact it is causing undesirable functions for example is allowing other users access to your computer.Other programmers uses this methods for hacking.
Probable sources of Malwares:
- Browsing websites that are unsafe ( Porn sites, Crack, torrent, keygen)
- Downloading and Installing untrusted and unknown programs you got from the internet.
- Plugging in external devices like flash drives, memory cards, or external hard drives that are infected with malware.
- Opening email attachments whose sender or contents are dubious.
- Installing add ons that are not trusted.
- Downloading thru torrent.
Steps to eradicate or prevent from getting malwares.
- Never EVER open an email from someone you do not know or whose file names are ending in EXE.
- Unsafe websites ate usually Porn and Hacking sites.A simple reminder, "PLEASE DO NOT VIEW PORN!".
- You will know if the website is safe if you see in the url "https://" 'S' stands for secured.
- Check whether the source of the programs that you will download is trusted, if their vendor or creator seems untrustworthy as their software may be trojans or contain viruses that will do more harm to you than good.
- Run a quick scan before you open the folders or copy files from an external device.
- Always update your Antivirus.
